Variations of Craps Games

When you walk into a casino, you will find a great number of games you can select from. One of the really popular and noisiest games in a casino is Craps. It would not be unusual if you find a noisy group of people gathering all over the table having fun and great time.

But there are different variations other than the traditional version that we all know. Here are some of the different variations of craps:

Crapless Variation: Crapless is one of the Craps variation. Sometimes it is known as “Bastard Craps”. This variation can be played in almost every Las Vegas casino. The important element of the game is a player cannot lose on the come out roll. If you throw a typical i.e. 2, 3 or 12 your number becomes a point and you don’t lose. Natural 11 on the come out become “the point” number. The natural 7 becomes the shooter’s point. The only method for the shooter to lose is to throw a 7 before the Point. If you play crapless you will never find Don’t Come or Don’t Pass areas on the table. The game is easy but the house enjoys 5.38% edge.

Simplified Variation: A shooter wins if 2, 3, 4, 10, 11 or 12 are rolled. If a 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 are rolled, the shooter is automatically loses. The payoffs are of different amounts in order to change for the difficulty in the number of winning order that is available to the shooter. For a winning roll of 2, the shooter paid on a 3:1. For a winning roll of 4, the shooter paid at an even 1:1. If the shooters win by rolling 10 or 11 then the shooter is paid 2:1. For 12, the shooter is paid at 5:1. Some casinos decrease the payout of roll of 12.

High Point Variation: In this type, a come-out roll of 2 or 3 is nullified and the shooter needs to roll again until another total is made. A roll of 11 or 12 wins automatically and any other number total rolled, with the ignored of 2 or 3, becomes the shooter point. Pay-offs is even money and the house enjoys 2.35% advantage.
